Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were exceptionally clean, the beds were comfortable, and I enjoyed the great pillows. However, the rooms were a bit too hot for my liking. The hotel had lovely garden views and provided a cooler environment with air conditioning and a fridge for our drinks.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. While the room was small and shabby, needing a fresh coat of paint and some maintenance, the service provided by the friendly staff, especially a male server, was exceptional. Unfortunately, the location was not ideal due to a train strike affecting our plans. Dining was a mix of highs and lows with excellent quality but also some disappointing aspects. Overall, it was a stay with mixed experiences.
The hotel offers a mix of positives and negatives. While the rooms were lovely and comfy, they were a bit dated and lacked conveniences like nearby sockets. The service was very pleasant and friendly, making it excellent value for money. The location boasts impressive period features but may not be suitable for all guests. The dining experience had its flaws, with a small and underwhelming hot/cold buffet. Overall, the facilities were decent with room for improvement.
